Our Mission

TO PROTECT & PRESERVE

The Great Lakes are home to 20% of the World's freshwater.

The lakes provide an incredible ecosystem, sustenance, economic & recreational activities for tens of millions of people.

From invasive species to pollution, agricultural runoff and the constant threat to siphon the waters,

the lakes are under threat unlike ever before & those problems are spreading across the continent.

The mission of Lakefront Love is to protect & preserve the Great Lakes through

funding for education & research, environmental safeguarding & clean up

& legislative initiatives that  support environmental concerns directly impacting the Great Lakes & watershed initiatives.

Let's make a difference during our short existence!

Kelly’s love & appreciation for northern Michigan & the Great Lakes started at a young age.

For twelve glorious summers, every Labor Day through Memorial Day, he had the privilege to live on Power Island on Grand Traverse West Bay, where his father was the ranger until 1985.

It was there that he learned to drive a power boat, sail, waterski, swim, scuba, dive, fish, skip rocks, and enjoy all the Great Lakes had to offer.
